Social media is one of the most powerful tools for business if use correctly, we for one have a built a complete physical business just by using Facebook.
Here are some tips to consider if you are new to the game;
When setting up business accounts for social media ensure all accounts are in the business name & the business name is spelt correctly.
Avoid if you can creating a business that actually is not spelt the correct way, for example M8 4 U, this may sound & feel "cool" but when potential clients or followers try to find you, incorrect spelling will make this harder than it needs to be, also search engines find it easier to find any word if spelt correctly.
Ensure your logo actually represents your business, the same with your business name, is someone needs to ask what does it mean or how is it spelt, then you are making it harder for yourself & others to understand your business.
Your description should describe your business services, history (if any), contact details even if they are required & completed in other sections in your profile, as these do not tend to show up unless looked for.
Once you have set up your business profiles, always create a welcoming post prior to inviting anyone, this will allow those who except your request to follow/like you a clear understanding to what your business is about.
The most important item to complete is the contact details in your profile, the more details provided, the easier it becomes to find you as a client.
There are plenty of business groups to join on Facebook, however try to avoid the ones that have strict advertising rules, ie. only business advertising on Thursdays, try me, once you have joined a few groups, it becomes easy to forget who's rules for what groups.
No 1 rule of posting, do not duplicate posts each week, your posts need to be different either in the details or the photos, otherwise people will not bother reading your posts if it is the same post over & over again. Do not be scared to be creative!
Each post should appear across all your accounts at the same time.
Even though this is business, still try to make it fun for yourself & your followers, this will make the process easier & more enjoyable.
